Malarkey Legacy vs Vista: which should I choose?

Do the smog-reducing granules actually work?

They're 3M-engineered and third-party tested: the coating photocatalytically converts smog gases. It's a genuine bonus feature, though we'd never sell a roof on it alone. Buy it for the polymer core.
