Why siding belongs to an envelope contractor.

It's what happens where cladding meets rooflines: kick-out flashings missing at lower roof-to-wall transitions, deck ledgers unflashed, trim butted into shingles instead of clear of them. Water gets behind perfect-looking siding and rots the wall from inside.

How much does new siding cost?

Vinyl typically runs $12,000 to $25,000 for a single-family home; fibre cement usually $20,000 to $40,000 depending on storeys, detail work and trim scope. Every quote is fixed-price after inspection.

Can you repair just the damaged section?

Yes when matching material exists. Rot near roofline transitions is the exception worth investigating: if water got behind one board, neighbours are suspect. We open up and show you.

How long does a siding job take?

Most homes take one to two weeks including prep, wrap and detailing. Weather windows matter more than roofing because walls stay open during changeover.

Do you replace house wrap and insulation?

Where warranted, yes. Open walls are the only chance to correct wrap failures and add exterior insulation, and our quotes include it explicitly.

What about soffit, fascia and trims?

Included as needed. New gutters pair naturally with fascia replacement, and we bundle all three efficiently.
